About

As a 2020 graduate of Music at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, Bristol born Molly Green is establishing herself as a highly anticipated jazz and soul musician. Born to the sound of jazz greats, old and new, such as Ella Fitzgerald and Norah Jones, and nourished by the soulful music of B.B.King through to Joss Stone, Green's sound is like a shimmering deja vu; there's a comforting familiarity in something completely new.

Performing from a young age, Molly has gone on to grace some of the UK’s most iconic stages, including Glastonbury Music Festival, EFG London Jazz Festival, Ronnie Scott’s, and the well established Bristol Beacon (formerly known as Colston Hall). She has also sold out two headline shows at the legendary Cavern Club in Liverpool, and sold out her debut UK tour.

Her single Square One, secured her a place supporting Joy Crookes and a spot on BBC Introducing’s Hot List, with following releases seeing her surpass a total of 200 thousand streams on Spotify and gaining her play on BBC Radio One.

Her ability to further realise her creative vision, by designing and creating her own clothes, ensures you have never seen anything like her before.

A note from Molly...

It is the greatest gift to be able to create something from nothing, and even more so to create moments that resonate deeply enough to move another person. This is something I never take for granted. I have loved and appreciate every instance that has allowed me this privilege.

At the same time, the realities of today’s industry prompted an important shift. Last year, I recognised that pursuing a full-time career as a performing singer-songwriter was demanding more than it was giving. It became clear that I needed to re-evaluate my relationship with music and reshape it in a way that allowed me to thrive, both creatively and personally.

So, I find myself at the beginning of a new chapter that focusses less on chasing a singular ‘big dream’ and more on embracing meaningful, lasting moments. This means live performance that is about sharing a collective memory, writing songs for myself and others that connect to places nothing else can, and staying inspired by artistry rather than driven by expectation. It’s about rediscovering the power of music as something deeply human, not purely transactional.

While I’m still exploring where this path will lead, I feel grounded in a clearer sense of purpose. By aligning my work with what genuinely inspires me, I’m creating space for the most honest and impactful version of what I have to offer.

All of this is to say, the best is yet to come and I can’t wait to see what is yet to unfold. I hope you’ll join me.
